Biobacil® Mood is a food supplement in capsules, which contains S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine (SAMe) and reinforced with Vitamin B6 and the Lactobacillus plantarum strain. 

S-Adenosyl Methionine (SAMe) is a compound produced naturally in the body and plays a crucial role in the synthesis of neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine. These neurotransmitters are necessary in regulating mood, emotions and general mental well-being. 
Several studies have shown that combining SAMe with bacterial strains used as probiotics has led to improvements in symptoms and quality of life in people with mild to moderate depression. 

Lactobacillus plantarum, the gastrointestinal tract and the brain are interconnected through the gut-brain axis, a bidirectional communication that involves nervous, hormonal and immune pathways. The intestinal microbiota can influence this communication and disruptions in the intestinal microbiota have been linked to diseases such as anxiety and depression. It is also involved in the production of certain neurotransmitters that play a crucial role in mood regulation, such as serotonin. 
Several studies point to the benefits of bacterial strains, in particular Lactobacillus plantarum, in improving depressive symptoms.
