Fruit of the presence of the chestnut leaf, it inhibits coughing attacks and relieves rheumatic, joint and muscle pain.

Very nutritious, the chestnut has played a major role in the feeding of various peoples throughout history. It is also known as “bread of the poor” and has real anti-anemic and tonic properties. It was once used as a staple food in years of poor harvests.

It is antiseptic, stomach and helps to correct problems of growth retardation of children, anti-hemorrhagic, combats problems of varicose and hemorrhoids, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Young leaves cooked in the spring can be used to calm coughing attacks. The bark of the chestnut, mixed with the bark of the oak and walnut leaf in decoction can be applied in vaginal irrigations to stop uterine hemorrhages.

Chestnut leaf tea, by contracting mucous membranes, inhibits attacks of violent cough; hence it is recommended against whooping cough, bronchitis and sputum. It is even used in gargling. In cases of sore throat, it can also be used to relieve rheumatic, joint and muscle pain.

 

How to use:

Two spoons of dessert for half a liter of water. Use freshly boiled water. Pour the plant into the water and cover the bowl tightly. Leave to infuse 5-10 minutes. Strain and it's ready. You can drink 2 or 3 cups a day.
