This plant is also well known as "Lapacho" or "Ipê Amarelo".

Ingredients: 100% Pau d'Arco in bark (Handroanthus serratifolius).

Handroanthus serratifolius is a species of tree, commonly known as pau d'arco, yellow lapacho, poui Amarelo, yellow ipe, pau d'arco yellow or yellow ipe.

Traditional Uses: Increases the level of white and red blood cells and is used by people who undergo chemotherapy, in order to reduce the effects of being ill caused by it. It is also used in cases of urinary infections and bronchitis. It is used in the natural medicine of several indigenous peoples in South and Central America to treat a range of illnesses, including infections, fever and stomach problems. 

Preparation: Use 1 dessert spoon as a measure for 1 cup of freshly boiled water. Leave to infuse 5 to 10 minutes.

Recommended daily dose: Drink up to 3 cups a day.

Warnings: It should not be consumed by pregnant women and infants. People taking anticoagulants should refrain from drinking this tea. It is advisable to stop taking it for 2 weeks for every full week.
