One of the most hemostatic plants that grow around us, the shepherd's bag is used to treat all types of hemorrhages, it stops the blood internally and externally.

It is a good urinary tract antiseptic, diuretic, hypotensive, astringent, helps to lower uric acid levels and useful in cases of blood in the urine coming from the uterus or urinary tract.

It also stops uterine hemorrhages caused by fibroids; helps with excess menstrual flow, leukorrhea, diarrhea, nose and gum bleeds, hemorrhoids, varicose veins, vomiting blood from the stomach or duodenum. Also effective against sore throats, in the form of gargling.

Capsella bursa-pastoris is used in Chinese medicine to treat dyssypsis and eye problems. It was once used to treat malaria, replacing quinine. The shepherd's bag contains vitamin K that favors blood clotting.
