Vitamin K1 (phylloquinone), fat-soluble, or anti-hemorrhagic vitamin, is found in greater amounts in green leafy vegetables or vegetable oils.

There are several types of vitamin K with different actions.

Vitamin K1, or phylloquinone, acts on the liver, maintaining healthy clotting.

Vitamin K2, menaquinone, acts on the walls of vessels and bones.

Vitamin K3, menadione, is the synthetic form, little recommended.

Its best known role is linked to its action in the blood clotting process.

It is essential for the hepatic synthesis of proteins involved in this process, such as factors II (prothrombin), VII, IX and X (coagulation factors) and proteins C, S and Z (coagulation inhibitors).

Vitamin K is also beneficial for cell growth, as it is involved in the synthesis of proteins present in plasma, kidneys and other tissues.

Its use is recommended in case of deficient blood clotting (hemorrhages), weak immunity, poor food absorption and difficult healing.

Per 1 capsule: Natural vitamin K (phylloquinone) - 100 mcg (125% of DDR).
