Celiac disease is a permanent intolerance to gluten and when left untreated it can cause serious health problems. Its average time of diagnosis is 13 years, as the disease is still unknown and its symptoms are varied and not always gastrointestinal. 

Classical Symptoms

  • Chronic diarrhea
  • Chronic constipation
  • Weight loss 
  • Swelling a few hours after meals 
  • Secondary lactose intolerance 
  • Stearrhea (excess of fats in the stool) 
  • Fatigue as an expression of microcytic anemia (small red blood cells with color loss).
  • Herpetiform dermatitis 
  • Loss of appetite / nausea 
  • Vitamin deficiency (iron, calcium, B12, D)
