Peruvian Maca (Lepidium meyenii walp), is a food widely consumed in the Peruvian Andes, thanks to its medicinal properties attributed by popular cultures.

Maca is a tuber recognized by the people and by Peruvian medicine and is used in the sexual behavior of men and women, in order to increase fertility, in addition to serving to treat menopausal symptoms.
At present, its napiform root pointed with adaptogenic action indicates the increase and the capacity to resist stress; as an aphrodisiac; fertilizing effect; revitalizing in states of malnutrition, convalescence, tiredness and physical and mental weakness.

Phytochemicals present in its napiform roots have characteristics similar to sex hormones (testosterone, estrogens and prostaglandins), helping to regulate the menstrual cycle and sexual dysfunctions, as well as improving libido and female and male fertility.

Zinc stimulates testosterone synthesis and modulates ovulation. Contributes to normal fertility and reproduction, zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal levels of testosterone in the blood.
