Artemisia has different species of different plants and each has its own characteristics, benefits and contraindications. The most used species is artemisia vulgaris, known only for Artemisia in Brazil.

Although this plant is traditionally used as an analgesic, antispasmodic, anticonvulsant, for the treatment of dyspepsia, epilepsy, rheumatic pains, fevers, anemias, lack of training, colic and to expel intestinal parasites, only the following benefits are scientifically proven:

• Helps protect the liver;
• It has antifungal, broad-spectrum and anti-helminthic action (against worms);
• Contributes to improving mood;
• It improves the quality of life of patients with Chronh's disease;
• Exerts an antioxidant action, contributing to brain protection and stroke prevention
• It helps to prevent certain types of cancer, especially acute myeloid leukemia.

Use:

Pour 2/3 tablespoons, or 10 grams of tea, in about 2/3 deciliters of cold water. Bring to the boil and let it boil for 5 minutes. Remove and leave to infuse. After straining, take 3 times a day, between meals, warm or cold, with or without sugar or sweetener.
